[Synopsis]

Often, poems of love spout thoughts of passionate romance between lovers, or the sonnets and song of two lovestruck youth, alternating between the ecstasies and agonies of their growing love affair. However, what we often overlook and take for granted is that one of–if not the purest and most unwavering love of all–is that of a mother. This interpretation of Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s Be Near Me depicts the relationship of a mother with her son, at two very different periods of their lives.
